Why We Built This Site
Mississippi public court access begins with the right custodian, not a single countywide search box. Clay County is in the Sixteenth Circuit Court District, where the Circuit Clerk keeps Mississippi Circuit Court civil and felony criminal files and certain appeals. The Chancery Clerk keeps Chancery, family, probate, guardianship, and land-record material. Justice Court and West Point Municipal Court use their own clerk routes. MEC and PAMEC can help with eligible Circuit and Chancery matters, but remote public access is account-based and some filings remain restricted.
That split can make a straightforward docket search feel unclear. This resource brings together the court level, clerk role, access limits, official portals, and contact details that help identify the proper path before a visitor calls, travels to a counter, or pays for remote access.
What You Will Find Here
- Docket routes: how Criminal Docket Search and Civil Docket Search differ in Clay County
- Settings and dates: how to read published schedule material and confirm a hearing through Court Dates
- Case identifiers: how to use Case Lookup with the Circuit or Chancery clerk and MEC/PAMEC access options
- Official files: how Court Record Search distinguishes a docket entry, a plain copy, and a certified record
What We Cannot Do
Clay County Court Docket is a privately run reference site. It is not connected to the Clay County Circuit Clerk, the Mississippi Circuit Court, the Mississippi Supreme Court, the Mississippi Court of Appeals, or any other government office. Its limits are important:
- We cannot retrieve an official docket sheet or case file for a visitor
- We cannot set, change, reset, or confirm a hearing date
- We cannot seal, alter, expunge, or remove a court case
- We cannot issue a certified copy of a docket, order, or filing
- We cannot give legal advice about a case, deadline, or court order
- We cannot guarantee that every listed fee, phone number, or court setting remains current
Only the clerk or court that maintains the Clay County case can provide an official or certified docket or court record. A reference page cannot replace that source.
Search Partners
Some pages carry search boxes supplied by third-party providers. Those providers operate their own services, prices, and result systems. A paid signup reached through a partner may produce a referral fee that supports this free reference resource. We do not control partner charges, their data handling, or the contents of a result, and a partner result is never a substitute for the originating clerk record.
